Detailed information :
About the Book The Transition Timeline is a timely and essential manual for communities looking towards the future. It outlines four possible scenarios for the UK as the triple crunch changes our ways of living and working over the next twenty years. The fourth way, the Transition Vision, is examined in depth, looking at key areas such as health care, food and energy and provides a sober and inspiring map for all those engaged in the Transition task of the Energy Descent Action Plan. It also includes a clear and dynamic update of climate change and peak oil and directions on how to shift our present cultural assumptions to move into a more fulfilling and lower-energy future. About the Author Shaun Chamberlin was born and grew up in Kingston-upon-Thames. He graduated in Philosophy from the University of York in 2001 and went on to work on a project for marginalised groups and train as a teacher. Since 2005 he has devoted his time to explaining the challenges facng the global community. He helped launch Transition Town Kingston in 2007 and runs his own website Darkoptimism.org. “Here it is: the map and timeline of how to save our world and ourselves. Whether we WILL take up these suggestions as scheduled is a question for the cynics and dreamers. For us, the realists, the only relevant questions are: Where do we start? and Will you join us?” Richard Heinberg – author of The Party’s Over and Peak Everything. Payment instruction :
