Up to Transition East Discussions
Dear Everyone,
Over the last week the Transition East Support Group have been compiling notes taken at our Second Regional Gathering in Diss on November 14, They have just been uploaded onto the Transition East website if you would like to have a closer look [http://tinyurl.com/yl9ys3t] They are arranged as follows:

There
is still work to do and we're missing notes from a couple of the
sessions. Over the next week or so, as well as adding these missing
sessions, pictures and and a more complete introduction will be
up-loaded.
To whet your appetite the titles of the sessions are listed below!
Meanwhile news of our activities has gone nationwide. On Nov 17 a glowing report of the regional document (plus picture and PDF) was posted by Rob Hopkins on www.transitionculture.org. entitled A Brilliant Look at What’s Rising in the East of England (that’s all 29 of us!).
You can also download a slightly more complete .pdf version form Transition East or, better still, see an on-line version, with full-colour pix, on the Transition Gathering blog which can be found here: www.transitioncircleeast.blogspot.com. This will be updated for our next regional gathering.
During the next few months, we’re aiming to tackle some of the Transition Troubles that were raised at the meeting – from practical issues such as public liability insurance (how to go about it as a regional group) to those difficulties arising from group dynamics. We’re hoping that different initiatives might like to join us on this original project. Reports from this our work-in-progress will be available as an open source document on the transitioneast website. The transitioncircleeast blog meanwhile is for those of us who would like to keep in touch, post our experiences, talk about what is going down in our initiatives, reports of events etc,. from a personal point of view.
We would also really like to expand our support group and encourage smaller sub-regional groups to form, as suggested both by Matt Walker (Dereham) and Nigel McKean (Woodbridge).
If you would like to take part in any of this regional exploration on any level, no matter how grand or small, do please send an email or give us a ring.
